Evelyne is a Principal Consultant at Anthesis Germany who has worked on a wide variety of projects, predominantly across the apparel and chemistry industries. She has extensive insights on numerous sustainability topics, across strategy and implementation, sustainable sourcing and processes as well as sustainable policies development. Evelyne also has wide experience with chemical consortium management and regulatory compliance. Evelyne holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and has closely collaborated with several start-ups to develop sustainable coatings for a variety of applications.
Mark Hoff, European Head of ESG and Finance Sector Lead, SLR Consulting
Mark is a senior business leader in the ESG advisory services industry with more than 20 years in the advisory sector, working with industrial and financial sector clients across their value chains in Europe, Africa, and Asia Pacific. Most recently he has led projects on sustainability strategy, ESG signals, and ratings and disclosure. Mark has supported clients on their sustainability transition journey, developed corporate responsibility and responsible sourcing programmes throughout the battery materials and plastics value chains, and developed tools and capacity building programmes for senior leadership training and post-merger integration.




Michael Carus, Founder & Managing Director, Nova-Institute
Michael Carus (MSc), physicist, founder and managing director of the nova-Institute, has been working for 30 years in the field of Bio- and CO2-based Economy. This includes biomass feedstock, processes, bio-based chemistry, polymers, plastics, fibres and composites, as well as recycling. The focuses of his work are market and trend analysis, sustainability, political framework and strategic consulting for Industry, Policy & NGO’s. Michael Carus is considered to be one of the leading experts and market researchers in Europe on Bio- and CO2-based and Economy and especially the industrial material use of renewable carbon. He is actively involved in building networks in the fields of renewable chemicals and materials. Mr. Carus is a member in many societies, associations and international organisations. Carus is a consultant on policy in many different countries in Europe, Asia and America. Emmanuel Katrakis, Secretary General – European Recycling Industries’ Confederation (EuRIC)
Emmanuel KATRAKIS joined EuRIC in September 2014, at the time the European Recycling Industries’ Confederation was created. Since then, Emmanuel is working on the steady development of the Confederation and its efficient organization to act as the trusted interface between the recycling industry and European institutions. Prior to joining, he worked in an international law firm and two trade associations where he gained an in-depth experience in association management. Owing to his presence in Brussels for over ten years, he has developed a strong knowledge of European affairs and advocacy as well as a proven track-record in defending various industrial sectors. Emmanuel is a regular speaker in international conferences dealing with recycling and a member of different expert groups set up by European institutions aiming at supporting the transition towards a more circular economy. Emmanuel is graduated in European law from the College of Europe in Bruges.
