ATS Tanner has developed a new PCR banding film

by | May 16, 2024

ATS Tanner recently revealed their latest development, a new product called FTN PCR35. This is a high strength banding film, which is manufactured out of 35% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.

This innovative banding film has been deliberately designed to be better for the environment and it also comes with other added benefits. These include its ability to be sealed through the use of ultrasonic and heat-sealing technologies.

The company decided to create this innovative film in response to the aims set out by the EU plastic tax. These aims include reducing plastic waste, as well as putting in effort to promote the use of recycled materials. FTN PCR35 supports this drive created by the EU, through helping the party achieve their goals and reduce taxes.

FTN PCR35 is an excellent development for multiple industries, as it is environmentally friendly and it will evidently support the drive towards the circular economy, through its use of recycled materials. Furthermore, as it is made out of high-quality polypropylene (PP) and it contains a minimum of 35% post-consumer recycled polypropylene, the new material reduces the need for virgin plastics. On top of this, the film does not contain any harmful plasticizers, which means it can be easily recycled.
