Community Clothing announces the launch of their new plastic-free sportswear range

by | Jan 18, 2024

Community Clothing, is a clothing business and social enterprise, founded by Patrick Grant. The business recently announced a new line of clothing, which brings 100% plastic-free, organic, natural and biodegradable, high-performance and durable athletic clothing into the sportswear market.

As well as being better for the environment, the collection is suitable for men and women and is also suitable for a variety of sports activities. The range includes vests, T-shirts, sweatshirts and three styles of shorts. These clothes are available in sizes XS to 4XL for men and UK sizes 6-20 for women.

It is possible for the new range to be so beneficial for the environment, as all the items are manufactured from plant-based textile technology. This 100% plastic-free approach, sets this clothing apart from regular sportswear, as that is normally made from non-biodegradable, oil-based synthetic plastic materials. These are usually polyester, nylon, polyurethane and elastane. Community Clothing have also taken the style and appeal of their innovative new range into account and have made their clothing available in black, white, orange and yellow. Also, they have set the prices between £29 and £70, which can be seen on the brand’s website.

This sportswear range launch comes after a previous launch that the company had, which followed the same concept of being better for the environment. The company offered trainers and underwear, which were manufactured out of greener materials.

Founder of Community Clothing Patrick Grant, commented, “Community Clothing Organic Athletic represents the most radical change in sportswear in two generations. Moving away from oil-based sports clothes to 100 percent natural and biodegradable means now you can exercise and play sport and not harm the planet in the process.”
