Corn Next, the leading next-generation, new material and new technology company, based in Chino California, has made an incredible breakthrough in material engineering. The company has managed to transform its core material into granular form, which enables them to develop new lines of products.
The transformation of the core into granular form, means that Corn Next has achieved its goal and has created a product out of corn starch with no bioplastic.
Corn Next aims to replace single use plastics with 100% biodegradable cornstarch-based materials and products and this breakthrough brings them closer to achieving that aim, with the next step focusing on replacing 50% of the plastic products society uses today. To create there cornstarch-based products, they use a patented process involving cornstarch, water and natural enzymes. This process is 100% plastic free and does not contain PLA or bio-resin content. The product is biodegradable and will decompose in 90 days in multiple environments such as backyard compost, landfills and oceans.
