Hoffmann Neopac AG has announced that they will be showcasing their new range of LowPro Flip-Top Caps which are compatible with their EcoDesign Tubes, at Paris Packaging Week.
Hoffman is a global provider of high-quality packaging and dosing applications for pharma, beauty and oral care. The company recently announced that they have developed a new eco-friendly product, the LowPro Flip-Top Caps which are designed to be compatible with the company’s sustainable range of tubes. These products mark a new step forward for the company’s expanding portfolio which is focused on creating and developing eco-conscious packaging solutions.
Not only has Hoffmann created a new kind of sustainable lid for its product which uses less plastic, but they have also designed it so that it suits an array of needs a customer might have. The first way they have done this, is through manufacturing the tube out of a range of materials, such as, PP, PE and they also have an option of up to 40% rPE food-grade materials. Along with the actual material, the product is also produced with either a glossy or a matte finish. This allows companies to pick the design that will best match their company’s ethos. Furthermore, the LowPro caps have been manufactured in a way that allows them to be coupled with an assortment of Neopac’s sustainable tube products.
The caps have been specifically designed to fit any of the following tubes, the 35-50mm-diameter extruded tubes which are made from sugarcane, recycled resins, and PICEA™ spruce wood materials. Or the 35-50mm-diameter Polyfoil® EcoPro tubes which contains 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content. The company have also made a 35-50mm-diameter mono-material Polyfoil® MMB tubes which contains food contact layers. This specific design allows the company to cater to the strict requirements of the pharmaceuticals and food industries. Finally, there are the, 40-50mm-diameter PaperX fibre-based tubes and SpringTube®, which have been purposefully designed for cosmetic and oral care applications. This final option offers a nice and unique blend of aesthetic appeal as well as providing environmental responsibility.
In order to complete the manufacturing process, safety features were added to the caps during the manufacturing process. These features are things such as tamper evident stickers on the lids, or sleeves for the bottles, with the intention behind these being to ensure integrity and create consumer trust.
Head of Cosmetics for Hoffmann Neopac AG, Catherine Bismuth, commented, “Neopac is committed to materials reduction and incorporating high quality recycled resins in all of its offerings – including caps, which have been historically challenging from a stress corrosion cracking standpoint. By pairing an extensive range of LowPro Caps with our diverse EcoDesign tubes series, we continue to broaden the functionality and versatility of our lightweight packaging solutions.”
