by | May 16, 2024

PulPac and Seaman Paper have recently started collaborating over exploring new possibilities when it comes to customizing Dry Molded Fiber packaging. The companies are looking into this with the intention of using coloured and patterned barrier crepe paper to create this customization.

PulPac is well-known as ‘the home’ of Dry Molded Fiber and is also dedicated to developing innovative packaging technology. Seamen Paper is a company which is leading the industry, when it comes to manufacturing environmentally sustainable specialty paper and packaging solutions.

The predominant aim for this collaboration is for the companies to portray the multitude of possibilities that come with the use of barrier crepe paper. One of these many possibilities, is to enhance the aesthetics of products which are manufactured out of Dry Molded Fiber. As well as this, the opportunities created through the use of barrier crepe paper, mean that even products which are not made from molded fiber, can also use this kind of paper for personalized branding elements.

The use of this barrier crepe paper, means that new opportunities for enhanced décor, colour and functionality have been created for PulPac’s customers. Through the combination of barrier crepe paper and molded fiber packaging, customers will have access to a wide range of personalization options, which will also elevate their packaging designs and functionality.

Chief Operating Officer at PulPac, Viktor Börjesson, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Seaman Paper to PulPac’s partner network. Their global presence and diverse capabilities make them an ideal partner for our customers. By combining our expertise in Dry Molded Fiber, barriers, different substrates, prints, and colors through crepe paper, we can offer brands tailor-made packaging solutions that stand out while reducing their environmental footprint.”

VP of Global Product Development at Seaman Paper, Bernd Firmbach, added, “We are excited to collaborate with PulPac to explore the potential of crepe paper in sustainable packaging solutions. Our partnership represents a significant opportunity to innovate and provide customers with unique packaging solutions that meet their evolving needs for tailored graphic design and barrier functionality while minimizing environmental impact.”
