Quadpack have created Ultra Solo, a new addition to their airless range

by | Mar 14, 2024

Quadpack has manufactured a new item to join their airless technology range, this is Ultra Solo, which combines airless technology with monomaterial packaging. Quadpack is an internationally recognised beauty packaging manufacturer.

Ultra Solo is made entirely out of polyethylene (PE), even the pump which is metal-free. This design means that the whole package is manufactured out of one kind of material, meaning it is also completely recyclable. On top of these benefits, the airless technology adds many more, including benefits for the formula, for the brands and even for the consumer. There are also benefits within the design which are there for the environment, as this product is an excellent blend of sustainability and performance.

The product is not only designed with sustainability in mind, but it is also designed for easy and simple use. For example, airless technology ensures that when pressure is applied to the nozzle, an exact 0.5cc dosage is released each time. This does not change no matter how much pressure is applied. The packaging environment is fully sealed, so the formulation is always fully protected from any external contamination, this feature effectively reduces the need for artificial preservatives. Finally, to add to the ease of consumer consumption, the pump is able to be used from any angle on the bottle and it constantly displays an excellent performance.

Along with the packaging being created sustainably with an efficient design, it was also specifically designed as a single-wall pack that has a minimalist but very sleek design. An added benefit to the choice to use PE as the material, is that the package can have a high-gloss finish and Quadpack also offers companies the option of making the packaging even more aesthetic, so that it can be adapted to any brand identity. The bottle has been made available in a range of sizes such as 15ml, 30ml and 50ml and these ranges of sizes also allow for easy top filling.

After adding Ultra Solo to their product range, Quadpack also added all the products details to an Environmental Report. This report includes a life-cycle assessment, as well as other impact data and it is available to brands through Quadpack’s catalogue. The purpose of this is to make it easier for brands to achieve their sustainability goals.

The leading European assessment institute cyclos-HTP* certified this product.

Quadpack Category Specialist, Alejandra Isern, commented, “We are aiming for greater recyclability in our product development and nothing is easier to recycle than a monomaterial pack. Ultra Solo is also our first airless solution in PE, expanding the range of materials in our airless portfolio.”
